The above title can be found in Proverbs 18:21. This statement can be applied in many contexts. Let's take a look at one.

Jesus preached the gospel; he spoke that he was the Son of God. Mark 1:14-15; John 3:16-18. As a result:

(1) He was murdered, put to death, accused of blasphemy. Although this was more of a pretext for the Jew's murderous intention, nevertheless, blasphemy was used to indict Jesus. Matthew 26:63-66; 27:17-18, 26.

(2) Those who believe in the message of Christ have eternal life. Mark 16:15-16; 1 John 5:11-13.

(3) Those who disbelieve in the message of Christ will die spiritually. Mark 16:15-16; Romans 6:16-17, 23; 8:12-13.

Paul said, "For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek." (Rom. 1:16 NASB) Paul also said, "and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." (Philip. 2:11 NASB)
